This beautiful full body Grey Wolf, also known as a Timber Wolf or a Western Wolf, is on detailed habitat base, which is accented with weathered wood and dried grass. The base is on casters, which allows for ease of moving. The wolf is accurately and expertly detailed. Thick winter coat that is beautifully colored in shades of gray, black, white and cream. It is positioned with head low and teeth bared in a hunting pose. He is alert looking straight ahead. Claws are intact. It measures 67" from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail. About the Wolf

The wolf is the largest member of the canine family. Wolves range in color from grizzled gray or black to all-white.
 
Wolves live, travel and hunt in packs of around six to ten animals. They are known to roam large distances, perhaps 12 miles a single day. Wolves preferred prey are large animals such as deer, elk, and moose. When they are successful, a single animal can consume 20 pounds of meat at a sitting. Wolves are also scavengers and often eat animals that have died due to other causes like starvation and disease.
 
Wolfpacks are established according to a strict hierarchy, with a dominant male at the top and his mate not far behind. Usually this male and female are the only animals of the pack to breed. All of a pack's adults help to care for the young.
